RICH Tip – Business Branding…Be Sure to be Consistent, No Matter What!

RICH Tip (business branding) –

Be sure you do not inadvertently mislead your customers by not threading your brand throughout all aspects of the business – including partners you do business with.

Example – The Starbucks I am sitting in happens to be in the middle of a Barnes & Noble here in Atlanta. Starbucks Coffee logo, branding materials, promo items, menu, bags of coffee and of course coffee are all over the place. However, they do NOT accept their Starbucks gift cards, regardless of being in a @Barnes & Noble store. Some how they screwed up in threading their brand and customer expectation throughout their co-branding agreement. Bad decision on both companies part, because now they have turned off a customer to both of them!!! There are tons of other places to go, like Caribou Coffee…and I will. Don’t turn off your customers by not considering all of the ways a customer expects to be able to interact with your brand – no matter where and how it is placed.
