Which Type of Headlines Make You Move and Take Action, or Become Paralyzed?

What types of post headlines get you to move and take action?

Are they headlines which promise great things, or they position something in a positive tone; such as: 10 Tips for Finding Your Perfect Job, or The Best Ways to Get Noticed At Work?

Are they scare tactics that cause you to feel doomed unless you do something about it: The 10 Things That Will Get You Fired, or Don’t Do This If You Want To Be Noticed at Work?

Over the past week, I paid attention to my own response to the many tips and advice posts on LinkedIn and other online resources.

My preference is toward those articles that position messages in the positive; highlighting the new and improved, increased, enhanced or transformed change that could occur should you heed the advice/tips.

How about you? What makes you sit up, take notice and move?
